All vehicles that are three years old require an MOT test to be carried out annually that looks at the safety of your vehicle and its emissions. The MOT test covers several areas from lights, seat belts and brakes to chassis, steering, tyres and suspension – many of the things that would compromise your safety or the environment.
The MOT testing can only be carried out by technicians in a garage that are authorised by the ministry of transport. To be able to perform MOT testing the person must be a skilled technician with at least 4 years’ experience repairing the types of vehicles they wish to test.
